I struggled with understanding this whole "enjoy the journey" idea. This was because my life had no purpose. When I found my "why", the intrinsic motivation came naturally and I no longer had to force myself to do what I should. That's when happiness came.

It bears repeating: Being productive is not a path to fulfilment. Your productivity is not your self-worth. You can live a great life with zero ‘productive’ output. Do work that gives you an intrinsic sense of satisfaction, not as a stepping stone to happiness.

Stuff happens. Your stories about it determine whether it’s manageable or not.
