For example, I’d argue that discipline is more important than passion, because there’s no controlling what you’re passionate about. I actually really struggle to work on projects I’m not excited about, because I’m not particularly disciplined.

Surprised by this. What does it mean? Not sure yet.
Much like a good movie, life eventually forces the protagonist (whether it’s you or, say, Tom Cruise) to choose between two irreconcilable goods : a comfortable living, or a clean conscience ( The Firm ); the love of your life, or the job of your dreams ( Jerry Maguire ). And so on. The choices we make reveal who we are.

Really getting me thinking, especially as I watch Brooklyn 99 and The Bear, both shows where people give a huge shit about what they do.
