Decentralization is an important substrate, the real pull is the increase in utility and value when an asset comes onchain turns into a money lego. Whether an asset is blockchain-native or a real-world asset will matter less and less. Eventually most ledgers will move onto blockchains, but that will take time and there is tons of value to be created in the meantime.
My biggest takeaway from Cannes is that the crypto industry as we know it will not exist in 10-15 years.
We will be fully integrated into the broader financial world. "Working in crypto" will not be a thing, you'll just work on finance. That's the best outcome for the world.
