Financial freedom means being relaxed about money. Just stop for a second and imagine what that would feel like. Even people we call “rich” aren’t necessarily relaxed about money. So instead of financial freedom, let’s call it “financial ease.”

If you’re in a position to help out a member of your family or a friend because it feels balanced and heartfelt to do so, by all means, give. Just ask whether you’re giving out of a sense of guilt or obligation.
