It's continually frustrating to see that products targeted at low income populations are clunky and frankly ugly sometimes, as if it just didn't matter how a user feels when they're using your product just because they have less cash.
To me, good design feels like respect for the experience of the end user, with deference to being in their service. And It feels like that lack of respect only exists in products that serve low income populations when you hold all the other incentives constant.
