A test as to whether you’re saved is not if you can sin but if you can sin and just ignore it, forget it. If you’re a child of God, the Holy Spirit will not let you ignore it; He will not let you forget it.

Now what does it mean to be saved? First,

God’s plan for us is victory. He wants us to triumph in the Lord Jesus Christ. We’re all subject to temptation so that we can learn how to depend on the Lord Jesus Christ and know victory.

Your spiritual growth depends on living by the principles of the Bible.

Your salvation depends on understanding the gospel message of the Bible.

Every other problem in the world is indeed just a subset of sin, sorrow, death, and the Bible is the only book on earth that has the answer to all three conditions.
