The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers, but chaste women among the People of the Book, revealed before your time,—when you give them their due dowers, and desire chastity, not lewdness, nor secret intrigues.

O You Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Take You my soul (at death) as one submitting to Your will (as a Muslim), and unite me with the righteous.”

Nor did We send before you (as messengers) any but men, whom We did inspire,—(men) living in human habitations.

And why should you not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?—men, women, and children, whose cry is: “Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from You one who will protect; and raise for us from You one who will help!”

those who establish regular prayers and regular charity, and they bow down humbly (in worship).

The Arabs of the desert are the worst in Unbelief and hypocrisy,

We gave Jesus the son of Mary clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit.

O you who believe! Ask not questions about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble.

Those that turn (to Allah) in repentance; that serve Him, and praise Him; that wander in devotion to the Cause of Allah; that bow down and prostrate themselves in prayer; that enjoin good and forbid evil; and observe the limits set by Allah;—(these do rejoice). So proclaim the glad tidings to the Believers.
