And they (sometimes) say: “There is nothing except our life on this earth, and never shall we be raised up again.” 30 If you could but see when they are confronted with their Lord! He will say: “Is not this the truth?” They will say: “Indeed, by our Lord!” He will say: “Taste you then the penalty, because you rejected Faith.”

Do you (now) forbid us the worship of what our fathers worshipped?

Those who show patience, firmness and self-control; who are true (in word and deed); who worship devoutly; who spend (in the way of Allah); and who pray for forgiveness in the early hours of the morning.

you are there only to warn! It is Allah that arranges all affairs!

whoever submits his whole self to Allah and is a doer of good,—he will get his reward with his Lord; on such shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

The Muslim position is clear. The Muslim does not claim to have a religion peculiar to himself. Islam is not a sect or an ethnic religion. In its view all Religion is one, for the Truth is one. It was the religion preached by all the earlier prophets. It was the truth taught by all the inspired Books. In essence it amounts to a consciousness of the

Allah is never unjust in the least degree:

“The things that my Lord has indeed forbidden are: shameful deeds, whether open or secret; sins and trespasses against truth or reason; assigning of partners to Allah, for which He has given no authority; and saying things about Allah of which you have no knowledge.”

See they not that they are tried every year once or twice? Yet they turn not in repentance, and they take no heed.
