The Inner Critic
When we think of the inner critic, we often focus on how badly it makes us feel, how discouraging and deflating, but in fact, the truly unhelpful aspect of the inner critic is that it is very distracting. It drains the energy out of your attention and impedes your ability to focus on your intention.
