The idea for Wander was born. By owning the entire end-to-end customer experience — from the homes, to the booking, to the smart home technology –– we could iterate towards perfection.

I soon realized the way people want to experience the world has changed forever, but the infrastructure to explore it hasn’t caught up with this new reality. It was early 2021, and I went to a cabin in Colorado to decompress after stepping down as CEO from my previous company. The place was disappointing.

I’ve long believed that we were never meant to stay in one place. The world is big, and as humans we are meant to explore it. A desire for adventure has fueled me since my teen years when I enrolled in online high school and, for the first time, had the freedom to be anywhere.
