NAME someone in targeted prayer. After the apostle Paul discussed the sword of the Spirit, he said we should get busy praying for others (Eph. 6:17–19).

The reason we do anything, Peter said, is “so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ” (1 Pet. 4:11)—because Jesus is “the radiance of [the Father’s] glory and the exact representation of His nature” (Heb. 1:3).

One of the ways God often steers us toward specific directions is by opening and closing doors of opportunity—which we’re able to recognize if we’re prayerfully following Him and watching for them (Rev. 3:8).
