Web3 has introduced a new type of organization:  Tokenized Communities.

Membership Tokens: tokens that represent membership in an individual community that falls under a “network’s” umbrella. 

Tokenized community: a progressively self-managing and collectively-governed community that works toward the proliferation and development of a common meme using a token as its primary means of coordination. 

The explosion of social tokens and DAOs over the last year has made it hard for anyone — including us! — to keep up with the pace of innovation. We’re working hard to build an information highway between Web2 and Web3, one that will allow more talented people to travel across.
