A prig is a tedious individual who, having made a discovery, is so impressed by his discovery that he is capable of being gravely displeased because the entire world is not also impressed by it. Unconsciously to become a prig is an easy and a fatal thing.

Nodding, I suggest that life is more like a jigsaw puzzle where the pieces are always changing shape and color. They’ll never fit together just right, but you can find something that allows you to make out the general gist of the big picture.

There’s a lot of pressure to conform, I like it when people don’t. I like oddballs (I may even be one myself). I admire individuals who do their own thing and have a unique view of the world. The interesting stuff is always on the fringes of society, never the mainstream.
