River Through the Heart

When I was growing up, I would watch and learn. If someone I respected spoke of someone they respected, I would take note of it. And I would see what and who they admired, and my pool would connect with them all.

It is our own mind we must explore, not the bare expression of another. The darkness of our subconscious pours into our conscious mind when confronted with mystery.

A man can become more creative by practice.

Before a rule is properly broken first it must be properly learned.

It is not so much the content as much as the frame around the content.

To create something original, we must first surrender our mediocre perception.

Recognizing patterns is being human and admitting patterns exist is being humble to the grand design all things.

And to understand that our preconceived view of our specialness is a hindrance of creative expression.
