The world is lost, and its only hope is the gospel. Therefore what it needs is the missionary voice of the church going to every people group on the planet with the story of Jesus. If sinners will be damned, at least let them leap to hell over our bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees, imploring them to stay. If hell must be filled, at least let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.
Change for the sake of change can be good if it forces us out of our comfort zones into reevaluation and revival mode. When we change too slowly, the culture around us moves on without us, leaving empty and outdated church buildings in its wake.
