Anyone care to explain this duality to me? I feel like I'm having a hard time understanding the Dionysian standpoint without the use of metaphysics? Or is it that the Birth of Tragedy actually does incorporate some use of metaphysics?

the Apollonian represents order, discipline, structure, planning ect. Whereas the Dionysian represents the passions of the moment, raw unbridled emotion, and one's chaotic impulses.
