am using my own hardware at home to infer, train, and fine-tune (or trying to; my training efforts have been pretty disasterous so far, but inference works very well).

My current uses of LLM inference are:

• Asking questions of a RAG system backed by a locally indexed Wikipedia dump, mainly with Marx-3B and PuddleJumper-13B-v2,

One interesting thing about LLMs is that they can actually recover (and without error loops). You can have a step that doesn't work right, and a later step can use its common-sense knowledge to ignore some of the missing results, conflicting information, etc. One of the problems with developing with LLMs is that the machine will often cover up bugs...
