On Idea Hoarding

For a truly great idea, virtually nothing can go wrong. And if anything goes so wrong that it prevents the idea from rising, then one can totally relax: It could not have been such a great idea in the first place.

I should just write down and publish all of the best ideas I’ve ever had, as quickly and casually as I can, in succession.

But we also hoard ideas because if one suddenly succeeds, then we suddenly have to live up to the idea. A good idea alone is not terribly hard to come up with.
