I learn I can leave things out of my mind, and they can get done.

I feel small and disconnected, and a voice inside me warns I’ll soon expire due to age and uselessness. I don’t question where I learned such things. I don’t realize the voice isn’t even mine.

I wonder what else I’ve missed while bending the world to my will.

I think about what it means to do nothing and still grow.
