This weekend in Milan: SPRINT at Spazio Maiocchi, featuring a zine and works by Finnegan Shannon. 🧢 On the occasion of SPRINT24, four works from Finnegan Shannon’s series “Do You Want Us Here Or Not” will be installed in the courtyard of Spazio Maiocchi. Referencing the history of demonstrations where sitting became an act of protest, Shannon’s benches highlight the presence of unseen and unheard bodies, redefining space as a form of subtle resistance. In addition, a zine by Shannon reflecting on their project at La Pista 500 at Pinacoteca Agnelli will be available at the salon. Shannon notes: “The architecture of the test track feels so full of ideology around speed, movement, and stamina. I wrote the text for the benches thinking of myself, a slow and reluctant walker, navigating the space, someone who would likely choose to sit waiting for a friend rather than making the full loop.” SPRINT—Independent Publishers and Artists’ Books Salon November 22, 6–10 pm November 23–24, 11 am – 9 pm @finneganshann0n @sprintmilano @spaziomaiocchi In partnership with Pinacoteca Agnelli, Turin @pinacotecaagnelli
