Supports & Grounds
Wood panel (birch or cradled board, not canvas — wax needs a rigid support)
Acrylic gesso (for priming, if your board isn’t prepped)
Paints & Mediums
Acrylic paint / house paint (muted greens, smoky blues, umbers, blacks, soft pinks, ochres) → for base atmosphere layers
Oil paints (optional for depth in later stages)
Oil
No matter what painting technique is employed, oil paints are most cooperative when applied from dark to light, wet-into-wet.
