Four Right Exertions

In Buddhism, the seven factors of awakening (Pali: satta bojjha ṅ gā or satta sambojjha ṅ gā ; Skt.: sapta bodhyanga ) are:
- Mindfulness ( sati , Sanskrit smṛti ). To maintain awareness of reality, in particular the teachings ( Dhamma ).
- Investigation of the nature of reality ( dhamma vicaya , Skt. dharmapravicaya ).
- Energy ( viriya , Skt. vīrya )
Seven Factors of Awakening
n the Pāli Canon, the Buddhavamsa of the Khuddaka Nikāya lists the ten perfections ( dasa pāramiyo ) as:[6]
- Dāna pāramī : generosity, giving of oneself
- Sīla pāramī : virtue, morality, proper conduct
- Nekkhamma pāramī : renunciation
- Paññā pāramī : wisdom, discernment
- Viriya pāramī : energy, diligence, vigour, effort
- Khanti pāramī : patience,

The ten courses of wholesome kamma are the opposites of these: abstaining from the first seven courses of unwholesome kamma, being free from covetousness and ill will, and holding right view.
