why so many corporate jobs pay well. They’re not paying you great wages because what you’re doing creates massive value. They’re paying you to forgo the opportunity for meaningful work. They’re purchasing your opportunity cost.

Most humans are either overpaid or underpaid for their work. I am not talking about minimum wages or fair salaries. I am talking about the fact that two employees in the same company can earn the same salary even though one of them contributes much more than the other to the company's overall success.

I think the single biggest problem afflicting large companies is the difficulty of assigning a value to each person's work.
