Somehow we need a way to get on despite our differences, to learn not to be threatened by those who hold very different beliefs, but to see those as an opportunity to learn.

There is nothing wrong with being a fundamentalist, nothing problematic about being deeply committed to your beliefs; rather, the questions should be ‘What are those beliefs?’ and ‘How do they cause you to behave, especially towards others?’

Self-help or salvation? That question gets to the heart of whether or not we are speaking of the same god when we talk about Allah and Yahweh.
