Complex or complicated?

Some problems are like muddy puddles. The way to clear a muddy puddle is to leave it alone. The more you mess with it, the muddier it becomes. The “problem” with expanding the web of connected things is that “right” answers become few and far between. Instead of a “next step,” you see more questions. Instead of the confidence of an “action plan,” you feel the gentle anxiety of ambiguity.

If you can’t easily explain why something is difficult, then it’s incidental complexity, which is probably worth addressing
