Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

the financial incentives are for the ministry to serve its donors, because they are the ones who are paying for the employees to have jobs.
Note that using an asset-based approach does not mean a ministry should never give resources or other forms of material help to materially poor people, but rather that it should only do so in a way that builds upon, not undermines, their use of their own gifts, abilities, and resources.
Third, some ministries may be called to address broken systems by trying to reform them altogether.
