The courage to be disliked.
Separation of tasks (knowing when it’s someone else’s job and not yours to do- act accordingly)
The desire for recognition. The student says it’s the issue of self-value. The philosopher says it’s the issue in reward/punishment education. If we want to be recognised we are longing for the reward. For society to approve you are doing the right thing.
Maybe I don’t fully grasp it, because it feels like there’s more to it. But to me I also was thinking how provocation in general is probably rooted in the desire for being recognised - acknowledge me.
Therefore perhaps when you notice that your actions are looking for someone’s approval, maybe it’s good to ask why initially you wanted to do it. Where was the spark coming from? What’s the purpose of doing it? And I think in this honesty you can come to a new conclusion or decision that would be closer to your inner self
